Flesh and Seen
Sowing the seeds of a dream guarantees a beanstalk standing high and dry to take us away from reality.
Sitting in the grass I stared at the sun puddles gathered around my small kingdom, spilling sparkly enchantment over the freshly mowed land. It gleamed with every catch, same as my heart sitting atop the grass.
Grounded alike with the astounding warmth from chittering bees, worms, and grass-hopping steads, I bowed my head and encroached upon these creatures of soil, their small grass beds made of dreams from even tinier heads.
To love you as the sun is to protect my eyes from your collection of stars bright as one's smile. Her gleam begs to be perched upon your neck, but my kiss has already taken her place. Keep me grown green, next to whichever rivers seem to transport you to a summer dream. Lay me down, my head within your arms, then wrap me close in your cocoon. A green homestead awaits with our names upon golden gates, which shudder under an endearing clasp of two worlds creating a third escape. Hear each chirp as a kiss, a remembrance of tomorrow's morning. With each pillow on my lips, you lull me into a goodnight’s bliss.
As a garden with so many flowers chosen to succeed Springs showers, I am tempted to forever stay, spilling tears in the homage of streams brought on by my love's despair. But as these flowers lose their color, you may remember them better, as what once was beauty disfigured is now scenic, unrequited, understood.
I sat and stared in awe and envy of endless flight, a butterfly wings sat perched upon a bushel of flowers, battling between beauty and glory, gliding flutters, color thunders with every heavenly shudder. My eyes can feel their hope and flight as close to the sun as they may try. Blueberry skies follow up high, down here they take up half of my daydream sights.
Flowers picked by your grace have the hue of pink from your lips on my cheeks. Raise your love lapped up and draw warm with your fingers near, placing a gentle touch from the tops of my burning love to the bottoms of my hair.
I lay on the freshly mown grass yesterday and looked around, mesmerized by the immense beauty and peace I felt and saw all around me. Life to me is like a fairytale, whether I accept that and find the fantasy within the reality is a question on my mind after every awakening from a crushing sleep.
